[KROQ Exclusive] World Premiere Of The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ New Single “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie” From Their Upcoming Album, I’m With You’
'' Socks. Many things come to mind when someone mentions the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They’ve been together for nearly 30 years, so it’s not hard to conjure up a few memories.
Some will think of their last studio album, Stadium Arcadium, which has a few songs that have already taken their place along side other RHCP classics (“Dani California” and “Snow (Hey Oh)” come to mind). Others will instinctually go back to Blood Sugar Sex Magic, the album that made them megastars and fondly remember “Breaking the Girl,” “Give it Away” and “Suck My Kiss.” Then, there are those that will hark back to the early days of the 80's, recalling records like Mother’s Milk, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, or their eponymous debut released way back in 1984.
But for a few die hard Chili Pepper fans, the image of strategically placed socks will always come to mind. Don’t know that story? Take a look HERE: considered yourself warned, this is probably NSFW. What’s great about the socks story is that it’s the Chili Peppers in a nutshell (no pun intended): bold, never afraid to expose themselves emotionally or otherwise, and kiss ass musicians.
It’s always been that way for the Chili Peppers since founding members Anthony Kiedis and Flea (along with former Guitarist Hillel Slovak and the late Jack Irons) first got together as teenagers while attending Fairfax High School, located right here in Los Angeles. Whether it be their cover of Stevie Wonder‘s “Higher Ground”, Kiedis’ bare all confessional “Under the Bridge”, or their newest single, “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie”, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with their blend of funk and rock, have set a standard of excellence equaled only by the greatest rock acts of all time.
The Stadium Arcadium tour was the last the world would see of the Chili Peppers for a while. By this point they had had five multi-platinum records and six Grammy Awards. They had been recording and touring nonstop since 1999's Californication and, understandably, needed a break. Keidis was busy taking care of his newborn son while Flea kept busy working on a solo project. During this time the Peppers were even nominated for acceptance into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They didn’t make the 2010 class, but we’re fairly certain they’ll be enshrined sooner rather than later.
Earlier this year, fans finally got the news they had eagerly waited years for. On August 30, the Peppers will release a new studio album, I’m With You, their first in five years. They’ll also be going on tour in Asia, Europe, and South America. No word on North American tour dates yet, but we can’t image them keeping their hometown of LA in the dark.
But we’ve got a surprise for you: a KROQ exclusive world premiere of “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.” Take a listen while having a look at the track listing for the new record. Keep checking back to KROQ.com for more exclusive RHCP content and news''

Ecco il testo ufficiale:
Lip stick junkie
Be funkie
She came back bearing a smile
Lookin like some brought me
They wanted to unplug me
Now one here is on trial
It’s just
Well then we go uh huh oh
Be funkie
She came back bearing a smile
Lookin like some brought me
They wanted to unplug me
Now one here is on trial
It’s just
Well then we go uh huh oh
Tick tock I want to rock you
Like an eighties
Cock blocking isn’t allowed
She loves I’m into memorabilia
Who said three is a crowd
If there
You get another go
Like an eighties
Cock blocking isn’t allowed
She loves I’m into memorabilia
Who said three is a crowd
If there
You get another go
[Chorus]
Hey now
You gotta make it big somehow
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
I hope it makes it in a plan
I said hey now
We gotta make it rain some how
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
Said we gotta make it loud
Hey now
You gotta make it big somehow
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
I hope it makes it in a plan
I said hey now
We gotta make it rain some how
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
Said we gotta make it loud
Rain dance maggie
Advances through the final
Who knew she had the goods
Little did I know
Her body was one
Delicious vinyl
To your method the words
I won’t
Advances through the final
Who knew she had the goods
Little did I know
Her body was one
Delicious vinyl
To your method the words
I won’t
[Chorus]
Hey now
You gotta make it big somehow
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
I hope it makes it in a plan
I said hey now
We gotta make it rain some how
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
Said we gotta make it loud
Hey now
You gotta make it big somehow
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
I hope it makes it in a plan
I said hey now
We gotta make it rain some how
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
Said we gotta make it loud
[Bridge]

She told me a tune and showed me what to do
You know how to make it loud
Hey now
You gotta make it big somehow
She told me a tune and showed me what to do
I hope it makes it in a plan
I said hey now
I want to rock its body now

TRADUZIONE
Drogato di rossetto
Sii Funkie
Lei sta tornando indietro con un sorriso
Sembra che qualcuno mi abbia portato
Volevano staccarmi
Ora uno è sotto processo
Beh
Ok, allora noi andiamo uh oh eh
Sii Funkie
Lei sta tornando indietro con un sorriso
Sembra che qualcuno mi abbia portato
Volevano staccarmi
Ora uno è sotto processo
Beh
Ok, allora noi andiamo uh oh eh
Tick tock voglio farti muovere
Ho detto hey, ora
Dobbiamo far piovere in qualche modo
Ho detto hey, ora
Dobbiamo far piovere in qualche modo
Come sapevo io
Il suo corpo era uno
Vinile delizioso
Per il metodo delle parole
Io non lo farò
Avanza verso il traguardo
Chi sapeva che avesse la roba
Come sapevo io
Il suo corpo era uno
Vinile delizioso
Per il metodo delle parole
Io non lo farò
[Chorus]
Hey ora
Ho detto hey, ora
Dobbiamo far piovere in qualche modo
Ho detto hey, ora
Dobbiamo far piovere in qualche modo
[Bridge]
Siamo arrivati alla ragazza rotonda
Ma non a lungo, ragazza
E’ nel dsound, ragazza
Perchè me ne andrò, ragazza
Siamo arrivati alla ragazza rotonda
Ma non a lungo, ragazza
E’ nel dsound, ragazza
Perchè me ne andrò, ragazza
[Chorus]
Hey ora
Ho detto hey, ora
Dobbiamo far piovere in qualche modo

Perchè me ne sarò andato andato bye bye sì
Bye bye ragazza
Perchè canto, la mia testa soffre
Io non
Ragazza
Ragazza
E’ nella canzone, ragazza
Perchè me ne sarò andato andato bye bye sì
Bye bye ragazza
Perchè canto, la mia testa soffre
Io non
Ragazza
